Yavorov is regarded both as the father of modern Bulgarian poetry and as one of its greatest representatives. Most of his works are referred to as masterpieces; his life which ended with suicide is called a love tragedy. YavorovÂ’s poetry inspired a great number of poets, his poems were even made use of as song lyrics.
